Staircase Christmas decoration

If you are lucky enough to live in a multi-storey house, you want to decorate an apartment building or the balustrade of a shop, what more than any element can be decorated in various ways is certainly the handrail of a staircase.

We can act in different ways based on the shape of the staircase to be decorated, starting with taking into account whether the staircase is spiral or not: if the staircase is spiral then the decorations must be only on the handrail and not particularly voluminous, if the staircase is not spiral we can indulge ourselves by decorating our stairs as well.

The most classic solution to adopt, and certainly of great effect, is the use of festoons: we can use them in pine or fir, however green, or even with berries, or with pine cones, holly and artificial snow.

After decorating the handrail with these elements, it is necessary to enrich our decoration using bows to embellish everything. I recommend, possibly illuminate the festoons a lot with the new LED lights. There are also battery-operated ones if you don't have a power outlet available.

If you don't like traditional festoons, you can opt for a slightly more modern solution, using Christmas baubles in the colors you prefer to hang on the railing with transparent thread and perhaps decorate with fake snow, glitter and fabric ribbon bows.

If you still want more ideas, you can make use of red poinsettias and silver, gold or green ribbons, combinations that go well with the color of the flower.

In case you don't like a particularly voluminous decoration, a classic is to use only the lights to decorate, which can be white or colored.

An idea to embellish even a simple light decoration is to insert the lights inside small glass jars, which you can decorate in turn or not, or inside colored balls that in this way will give off many colored lights around the house.
